Second Advent | 2017

Most of my second advent weekend I spent in Dusseldorf, Germany. I went there with Kevin's sisters and mom to have a festive weekend at the Dusselforf Christmas market.
I have never been to a Christmas market in Germany and as they say : people in Germany know how to throw a magical Christmas market. And indeed they can! I've always visited local shenanigans either in Latvia or Netherlands. Don't get me wrong - they were still amazing and got me in that Christmas spirit. But this one..  It was more than magical!
All the way from Netherlands to Germany it was white and snowy which made this whole experience remarkable (well not the part where we had to stand for an hour in a bus stop). When we finally got to the city centre it was luckily not snowing but still cold enough to enjoy a few cups of Glühwein.
There were few different markets across the city centre and each of them were a little different. Different style of huts, different Christmas tree's and even different Glühwein cups. My favourite item in the market were these small alcohol bottle ornaments.
Absolutely loved my weekend and it put a cherry on top of my excitement for Christmas. I also filmed some bits and bobs and put together this tiny video:
